Charcuterie boards can be a great appetizer to serve your guests. They’re easy to put together, visually appealing, and who doesn’t like a charcuterie board? Typically they include meat, but they can be vegified. This recipe gives you different ideas of elements and plant-base cheeses to include on your board.
To make it as eye-catching and delicious as possible, include different colours, textures and flavours.
1-3 non-dairy cheezes (I love Nuts for Cheese – available in most grocery stores, Please Cheeze Me – a small company from Sudbury, or Future of Cheese)
1-2 types of crackers (I like Ace bakery, and PC has some good choices)
small bowl of mixed nut (almonds, walnuts, peanuts, cashews, etc)
small bowl of olives
dried or fresh fruit (apple slices, pear slices, strawberries, grapes, dried apricots)
small container of jam or plant-based jelly
Arrange all elements nicely on a large plate, wooden cutting board or charcuterie board.
